You Have a Mission

Our English word "mission" comes from the Latin word for "sending". As a Christian, we are sent into the world as a representative of Christ. We are to take on Christ's mission. What He did in His physical body while He was here on earth, we are to continue as His spiritual body, the church.

What is that mission? The Bible says , ".Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also" 2 Corinthians 5:18 TEV. God has created us to tell others about Him. He saves us and then sends us out with the life-changing message of Christ. We are His authorized distributor of the Good News.

What a privilege God entrusts in us. He allows us to partner with Him in His great plan to rescue people from their separation from Him and the spiritual death that has them. The Apostle Paul put it this way, "We're Christ's representatives. God uses us to persuade men and women to drop their differences and enter into God's work of making things right between them. We're speaking for Christ himself now: Become friends with God; he's already a friend with you." 2 Corinthians 5:20 (MSG)

The Sycamore Network takes your mission very seriously. We believe nothing that we do is more important than helping you fulfill your mission. In fact, our rallying cry this year is "Whatever It Takes"! We are fully committed to this call seen in 1 Corinthians 9:22b, "Christ. Yes, I try to find common ground with everyone so that I might bring them to Christ."
